I studied Chemistry at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB, 1993-1998). After, I started my PhD in Dr. Tibor Farkas' lab at the Biological Research Center in Szeged, Hungary (1999-2003). I did my first postdoc in Dr. Eric Murphy's lab in the University of North Dakota, USA (2004-2007). After a second postdoc at the UIB (2007-2012), I obtained a grant to establish my own research group at the Health Research Institute of the Balearic Islands (IdISBa) located in the Hospital Universitari Son Espases (Palma, Spain). In 2019, I accepted the position as a Full Researcher at the IdISBa.

During my career I have always been involved in lipid analysis and, for me, there is no doubt that each one of them plays a specific role in cells. Its our duty to try to find it!
