Albert Maimó-Barceló, PhD

I hold a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Applied Biotechnology (University of Balearic Islands). I joined the group in 2015 while I was doing my Master Thesis "Study of colon lipid composition and its implications in tumorigenesis". Currently. Afterward,  I carried out my PhD studies thanks to a fellowship from the Government of the Balearic Islands (FPI/2160/2018). On of I defended my thesis entitled "use of the lipid fingerprint for the identification of new biomarkers and therapeutic targets in colon cancer. I had the honor to count with Dr. José Andrés Fernández (University of the Basque Country), Dr. Takeshi Harayama (CNRS-Institute of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology  ), and Dr. Maria Fedorova ( University of Dresden) as members of my tribunal.
