Learning how to cultivate colon organoids at MSKCC
December 2016 (New York, USA)

Our PhD student, Joan Bestard has spent one month at Dr. Richard N. Kolesnick lab in the MSKCC to learn how to cultivate colon organoids collaboration with Dr. Mª Laura Martin

Abstract presented: L’empremta lipídica permet la diferenciació d’exosomes tumorals d’acord amb la seva capacitat metastàtica. Autors: J. Bestard-Escalas, A. Maimó-Barceló, D.H. Lopez, R. Reigada, H. Ogiso, Ramos-Vivas J., T. Okazaki, G. Barceló-Coblijn.

Dra. Gwendolyn Barceló Coblijn also gave a presentation entitled: Aplicación de la Imagen de la Huella Lipídica para la identificación de nuevos biomarcadores y dianas terapéuticas de cáncer de colon, summarizing the work done so far by the group and the how this has led to the new project funded by the ISCIII

Visit to Kanazawa, Japan

Jan-Feb 2016

Joan Bestard-Escalas and Dr. Barceló-Coblijn visited Dr. Toshiro's Okazaki laboratory at the Kanazawa Medical University in January 2016. Dr. Barceló presented the work of the group in a seminar. Joan has stayed for a month as part of a collaboration to learn different techniques.
